Being a mother of 3 with a husband who works 7 days a week at the time can be difficult when it comes to getting the house clean. The boys are not old enough to be around any excessive fumes and they definitely get into trouble while out of my sight.
One day I was doing the dishes with Mark (2) helping me empty the dishwasher. He would hand me random plates or cups and I would put them away. When I started loading the dishwasher Mark disappeared. I had the water running in the sink to clean off the dishes. I had assumed Mark went to play with his brothers or watch cartoons. You know the old saying that assume make an ass out of u and me? Well, that was the case here. When done loading the dishwasher I shut the water off and heard water from somewhere else in the house.
I went up and there was Mark fully dressed in the bathtub with the water running. He was trying to clean the tub with a wash cloth and cold water. Cute, but wet.
Where did he get the idea to clean the tub? Me!
Earlier that week I wanted to clean the master bathroom and couldn't get the boys to give me some space. I put some hand soap on wash cloths and told them to scrub the bathtub in the bathroom on the other side of the wall.
Although they were able to get a lot of the scrubbing work done for me, they definitely remember the experience and try to do it over and over without my guidance.

Koolaid a la sink.
On most days the boys are awake by the time I take my morning shower. One Wednesday morning I was taking my normal shower and came down to the kitchen and found red kool aid powder all over the floor and counter.
I grabbed the Clorox wipes and cleaned up the mess and then turned to the sink and found their creation. The boys had filled the sink with water and poor as many of the individual kool aid and crystal light packets as they could open and had created their own drink in the sink.
When I found the boys watching cartoons they all had red feet and hands which proved their guilt.
It is amazing what they come up with!
